About Us
Furries of Stout (F.O.S.) is a student-ran organization at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. We bring together students who share an interest in the furry fandom. From art and music to fursuits and conventions.
Our Mission
The mission of this club is to provide a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for any UW-Stout student interested in or looking to connect with members of the furry fandom and subculture. Our goal is to make this a reality and build this community through events and shared experiences with members, centered on art, conventions, craft, and the overall appreciation of the furry fandom itself.
Our Goals
The club seeks to create an official lasting network for individuals interested in the furry fandom and broader community here at UW-Stout that can grow and thrive each year while including students who previously did not have a space on campus. We also want to host social events and contribute to the Stout community through many means such as fundraising and volunteering. We are dedicated to creating a space for genuine connection and self-expression.
Membership Benefits
Club members will join a supportive and open campus community club that is centered around the furry fandom, which includes regular meetups and other fun events such as art sessions, workshops, teachings, trip planning, arts and crafts, and most importantly, an opportunity to connect and network with like-minded individuals on campus. This club will also serve as a great opportunity and gateway to access the broader parts of the furry communities located in and around Wisconsin and Minnesota.
How to Join
Membership is open to everyone! No prior involvement in the fandom required. Come to any of our meetings or events, or join us on Discord or find us on UW-Stout Connect. Everyone is welcome.
